To perform an exterior wash using the water and two-bucket method, fill one bucket with clean water and another with soapy water. Rinse your sponge or wash mitt in the clean water before dipping it into the soapy bucket to avoid transferring dirt back onto the car. Wash the car in sections, starting from the top and working downwards, then rinse each section thoroughly with water to remove soap residue. Finally, apply a tire dressing to give the tires a clean, polished look.
